| Description: | Portrait of Nathaniel Allison, M.D., by J. Scott MacNutt, 1946. Oil on canvas, framed, total dimensions 42 x 34 inches. A brass plaque on the base of the frame reads: “NATHANIEL ALLISON / 1876-1932.” The portrait was fitted with non-glare protective glass in 1993. Allison was a professor of orthopedic surgery and a dean of the School (1919-1923). Frances Allison (Mrs. Frank J. V.) Krebs, the sister of the subject, donated the portrait to the School in 1946. |
