Duplicate Books for Sale

The Rare Book Collections of the Bernard Becker Medical Library has received and continues to receive donations of old books and collections. These books are carefully examined and in most cases incorporated in the appropriate collection. If the book is a duplicate of a book already cataloged, the two copies are compared. More complete content, better condition, significant provenance, and several other factors guide the decision as to which copy shall be kept. The books that remain as duplicates after the comparison are put on lists for sale.

The following lists give brief descriptions of the books and name no price. If you are interested in any of the items, please contact the Rare Book Librarian vekerdyl@wustl.edu. You can bid prices, if you wish, or we will send you prices. Also, we can provide more information about the condition of the book.

The Lists of Duplicates are available below or as separate PDF documents. You can keyword search the lists below using the “Find on this Page” function of your browser. You can perform a keyword search of each PDF file using the Search function within Adobe Reader.
