The course is intended for principal investigators, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and other scientific staff who would like to know more about searching the NCBI’s suite of databases related to biological sequences, structures, disease, and organisms.

Description:

The class will provide an introduction to searching the NCBI’s suite of databases related to biological sequences, structures, disease, and organisms. Tools and resources available from NCBI such as BLAST, MapViewer, OMIM, PubMed and others will be discussed.

Goals:

To provide a short introduction to NCBI resources.

Objectives:

To present the various resources available in such a manner that they may be used efficiently to retrieve and analyze data.
