About Access Restrictions to Electronic Resources

Access and use of electronic resources made available by the Becker Medical Library are governed by license agreements between the School of Medicine and publishers or third parties. Several of the electronic resources carry some restriction on their use. Access may be restricted by user location, number of concurrent users, and/or password.

Collection Management Services

Collection Management Services selects, acquires, organizes, and provides bibliographic access to the Bernard Becker Medical Library’s print and audiovisual collections and remote electronic information resources in support of education, research, and patient care at Washington University School of Medicine. The department encompasses the traditional technical services units of the library: acquisitions, cataloging, serials maintenance, and binding/preservation. In addition to the task of physically processing library materials, the department maintains the library’s online catalog and assists in the further improvement of the catalog and other e-resource discovery systems.
