About Access Restrictions to Electronic Resources

Access and use of electronic resources made available by the Becker Medical Library are governed by license agreements between the School of Medicine and publishers or third parties. Several of the electronic resources carry some restriction on their use. Access may be restricted by user location, number of concurrent users, and/or password.

In short, most people experience access limitations based on the network to which their computer is connected. Below is a quick breakdown of what can be accessed from various networks.

Cathy C. Sarli serves as the Scholarly Communications Specialist at Becker Medical Library. She supports research and publication efforts including assessment of research impact, copyright, and compliance with public access mandates such as the NIH Public Access Policy. Cathy specializes in the Scopus, Web of Science and Essential Science Indicators databases.

Cathy is a member of the Tracking and Evaluation Team for the Washington University Institute of Clinical and Translational Sciences (ICTS). She also serves as the liaison for the Office of Faculty Affairs, the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research, the Office of Neuroscience Research, and the Program in Audiology and Communication Sciences (PACS).
