About Access Restrictions to Electronic Resources

Access and use of electronic resources made available by the Becker Medical Library are governed by license agreements between the School of Medicine and publishers or third parties. Several of the electronic resources carry some restriction on their use. Access may be restricted by user location, number of concurrent users, and/or password.

In short, most people experience access limitations based on the network to which their computer is connected. Below is a quick breakdown of what can be accessed from various networks.

Lauren Yaeger has a Masters of Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois and a Masters of Arts in English Literature from Saint Louis University where she taught argumentative writing. Lauren is the St. Louis Children’s Hospital Librarian where she supports the hospital’s medical staff in meeting all their information needs. Lauren teaches Searching for Health Information, Learning Your Databases and individualized one on one classes.  She sits on many committees including the Ethics Committee, the Emergency Preparedness Workgroup, Learn Our Literature (the Resident’s Journal Club) and Unit Based Joint Practice Team Meetings. Lauren also attends clinical rounds to provide point of care evidence based information for informed decision making and can assist in the research needed to create systematic reviews as well as other research projects.
