About Access Restrictions to Electronic Resources

Access and use of electronic resources made available by the Becker Medical Library are governed by license agreements between the School of Medicine and publishers or third parties. Several of the electronic resources carry some restriction on their use. Access may be restricted by user location, number of concurrent users, and/or password.

In short, most people experience access limitations based on the network to which their computer is connected. Below is a quick breakdown of what can be accessed from various networks.

Mychal Voorhees, Community Outreach and Public Health Services Coordinator for Becker Medical Library, received her MA in Health Communication from Emerson College, in collaboration with Tufts University Medical School. Prior to joining the library, Mychal served as Health Literacy Community Coordinator and adjunct instructor at St. Louis College of Pharmacy. Mychal coordinates the Communicating for Health Program at the library and is available to provide trainings and consultations on the topics of health information, health literacy, and health communication. She also helps coordinate consumer health programs in the St. Louis community for the library.
