About Access Restrictions to Electronic Resources

Access and use of electronic resources made available by the Becker Medical Library are governed by license agreements between the School of Medicine and publishers or third parties. Several of the electronic resources carry some restriction on their use. Access may be restricted by user location, number of concurrent users, and/or password.

In short, most people experience access limitations based on the network to which their computer is connected. Below is a quick breakdown of what can be accessed from various networks.

Are You a PACR for the NIH Public Access Monitor (PACM) Resource?

The Public Access Compliance Monitor (PACM) resource has been updated to reflect the following changes:

  1. A specific article can be searched in PACM by the PubMed ID (PMID).
  2. Only the PI directly responsible for compliance of the grant is listed.
  3. Grants that were closed prior to FY 2008 are no longer listed.
  4. Grants that have been excluded by the PI in My Bibliography as not directly supporting a paper are no longer listed.

The PACM User Guide has been updated to reflect these changes.

* Please note: Becker Briefs pages may contain links, email addresses or information about resources which are no longer current.
