About Access Restrictions to Electronic Resources

Access and use of electronic resources made available by the Becker Medical Library are governed by license agreements between the School of Medicine and publishers or third parties. Several of the electronic resources carry some restriction on their use. Access may be restricted by user location, number of concurrent users, and/or password.

In short, most people experience access limitations based on the network to which their computer is connected. Below is a quick breakdown of what can be accessed from various networks.

Check out JoVE: The Journal of Visualized Experiments

JoVE is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes experimental methods in a video format. The videos provide detailed information about experimental/research methods and techniques. They are designed to make complex procedures easier to understand and replicate.

The videos are accompanied by text articles (available to download as PDF), citations, and materials lists. JoVE video articles are available for a variety of biomedical fields including biology, clinical and translational medicine, immunology and infection, neuroscience, and bioengineering.

See a complete list of video articles at the JoVE site

Note: You must be on the WUSM network, or log-in to a Proxy account to access JoVE videos and articles.
