About Access Restrictions to Electronic Resources

Access and use of electronic resources made available by the Becker Medical Library are governed by license agreements between the School of Medicine and publishers or third parties. Several of the electronic resources carry some restriction on their use. Access may be restricted by user location, number of concurrent users, and/or password.

In short, most people experience access limitations based on the network to which their computer is connected. Below is a quick breakdown of what can be accessed from various networks.

Earn CME Credits offered through Becker Medical Library

Becker Medical Library Health Information Services (HIS) Department has partnered with the Continuing Medical Education (CME) Office to offer CME credits for a Professional Development and Research Skills series. The series consists of courses developed by the library professional staff and will cover topics like using Endnote, searching PubMed and other databases, and techniques for critically appraising medical literature.

The CME Program at Washington University School of Medicine provides life-long learning skills through opportunities for educational renewal and advancement. These courses are designed to assist health care professionals with maintaining and enhancing professional competencies, and improving patient care.  You can find more information about Washington University’s CME program here: https://cme.wustl.edu/index.html
