About Access Restrictions to Electronic Resources

Access and use of electronic resources made available by the Becker Medical Library are governed by license agreements between the School of Medicine and publishers or third parties. Several of the electronic resources carry some restriction on their use. Access may be restricted by user location, number of concurrent users, and/or password.

In short, most people experience access limitations based on the network to which their computer is connected. Below is a quick breakdown of what can be accessed from various networks.

Human Gene Mutation Database - HGMD License Survey at WUSTL

To honor requests from Researchers on campus, Becker Library and the McDonnell Genome Institute are investigating whether sufficient interest exits to support a group or site license for Human Gene Mutation Database (HGMD).

HGMD is a resource for comprehensive data on published human inherited disease mutations that can be adapted to a broad range of research applications.  Learn more about the HGMD at https://www.qiagenbioinformatics.com/products/human-gene-mutation-database/.

Are you interested in participating in a group or site license for HGMD? If so, contact Maze Ndonwi at ndonwimaze@wustl.edu or 314 362 4737.
