About Access Restrictions to Electronic Resources

Access and use of electronic resources made available by the Becker Medical Library are governed by license agreements between the School of Medicine and publishers or third parties. Several of the electronic resources carry some restriction on their use. Access may be restricted by user location, number of concurrent users, and/or password.

In short, most people experience access limitations based on the network to which their computer is connected. Below is a quick breakdown of what can be accessed from various networks.

Becker Database Gateway

Not sure which database to use for your research? Want to learn more about the latest features available in a particular database? Curious about which alerting services are available from your favorite database?  Then the new Becker Medical Library Database Gateway is the place to start.

The Database Gateway quickly links you to the database resources you need - whether it's a guide to "Getting Started" or tutorials on how to use a specific database.

Try our del.icio.us page, becker.databases, to discover which database is right for you. Each database is tagged with easy-to-recognize terms such as "images" and "drugs" to guide you directly to the most useful database for your needs. As always, you can contact the Library Liaisons for personalized assistance in selecting a database and learning about its features.

Make the most of the databases available through Becker Medical Library by starting with the Database Gateway!

* Please note: Becker Briefs pages may contain links, email addresses or information about resources which are no longer current.
