New WU Scholarly Communications Web Site

Washington Unviversity Scholarly Communications

Becker Medical Library and Washington University Libraries are pleased to announce the launch of a new Scholarly Communications web site. This web site represents a collaborative effort between the two campus library systems to provide resources and information related to scholarly communications for the Washington University community. Our joint efforts allow us to leverage opportunities for expertise and resource sharing to benefit faculty, students and staff involved with scholarly communications endeavors regardless of campus affiliation.

Scholarly communications encompasses the creation, transformation, dissemination and preservation of knowledge. Changes in scholarly communications are creating challenges for teaching, conducting research, and providing library services to students, faculty and researchers. Some of these challenges include the use of the Internet for primary distribution in many fields and the evolution and transformation of traditional publishing models.

Our joint efforts allow us to leverage opportunities for expertise and resource sharing to benefit faculty, students and staff involved with scholarly communications endeavors regardless of campus affiliation.

Features of the Scholarly Communications web site include:

If you have any questions please contact Ruth Lewis of the Danforth Campus Libraries or Cathy Sarli of the Becker Medical Library.
