About Access Restrictions to Electronic Resources

Access and use of electronic resources made available by the Becker Medical Library are governed by license agreements between the School of Medicine and publishers or third parties. Several of the electronic resources carry some restriction on their use. Access may be restricted by user location, number of concurrent users, and/or password.

In short, most people experience access limitations based on the network to which their computer is connected. Below is a quick breakdown of what can be accessed from various networks.

There has been a move in recent years to understand how different people come together to create productive healthy research teams. Indeed, this is becoming more critical as our efforts become more interdisciplinary in nature. A number of groups are developing online resources on this topic.  For example, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) provides a brief introduction to some of the issues surrounding team science, including the pros and cons of teams, steps you can take to make a team click, how to spell out expectations for team members, and a variety of other topics.
