About Access Restrictions to Electronic Resources

Access and use of electronic resources made available by the Becker Medical Library are governed by license agreements between the School of Medicine and publishers or third parties. Several of the electronic resources carry some restriction on their use. Access may be restricted by user location, number of concurrent users, and/or password.

In short, most people experience access limitations based on the network to which their computer is connected. Below is a quick breakdown of what can be accessed from various networks.

New Library Resource Guide for Test Preparation Resources

A new Subject Guide,  Test Preparation Resources, highlights a number of print and electronic test preparation resources available at the library.  For most electronic resources, such as Board Vitals, you need to be on the WUSM network or use a Becker Proxy Account.

The library has access to a small portion of the available resources.  There is an abundance of test preparation material available to you for free and at a charge.  Many of the most popular online resources are available for individual purchase only.  The library cannot provide access to those resources but our new guide can help you find the resources we have.
