About Access Restrictions to Electronic Resources

Access and use of electronic resources made available by the Becker Medical Library are governed by license agreements between the School of Medicine and publishers or third parties. Several of the electronic resources carry some restriction on their use. Access may be restricted by user location, number of concurrent users, and/or password.

In short, most people experience access limitations based on the network to which their computer is connected. Below is a quick breakdown of what can be accessed from various networks.

Thanks all for a successful display

Archives and Rare Books held its annual display of anatomical atlases last week, and we had a good turnout from students, library staff, and other medical campus employees.  Visitors were very enthusiastic, and many of the students commented on how amazing it was to see and touch books that are older than the United States (the oldest book we put out on display was a first edition of Andreas Vesalius' De humani corporis fabrica from 1543).  The flap anatomies we had on display, including a 1583 copy of Georg Bartisch's Augendienst and a 1576 work by Leonard Thurneisser zum Thurn, were especially popular.

If you missed the display, you're always welcome to come visit us in ARB!
