About Access Restrictions to Electronic Resources

Access and use of electronic resources made available by the Becker Medical Library are governed by license agreements between the School of Medicine and publishers or third parties. Several of the electronic resources carry some restriction on their use. Access may be restricted by user location, number of concurrent users, and/or password.

In short, most people experience access limitations based on the network to which their computer is connected. Below is a quick breakdown of what can be accessed from various networks.

Upcoming MATLAB Training Sessions at WUSTL

An engineer from MathWorks will be at WUSTL presenting two MATLAB training sessions on Wednesday March 5th. One session will be held at WUSM and one session will be held on the Danforth Campus.


Session 1: Medical Image Processing with MATLAB (9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.)

Location: Medical Campus, McDonnell Medical Sciences Building, Erlanger Auditorium

This seminar will be particularly valuable for anyone intending to use MATLAB to process, analyze and visualize medical images.

Session 2: Mathematical Modeling with MATLAB (2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.)

Location: Danforth Campus, Busch Hall, Room 100

Mathematical models are critical to understanding and accurately simulating the behavior of complex systems. They enable important tasks such as forecasting system behavior for various “what if” scenarios, characterizing system response, and designing control systems.
