About Access Restrictions to Electronic Resources

Access and use of electronic resources made available by the Becker Medical Library are governed by license agreements between the School of Medicine and publishers or third parties. Several of the electronic resources carry some restriction on their use. Access may be restricted by user location, number of concurrent users, and/or password.

In short, most people experience access limitations based on the network to which their computer is connected. Below is a quick breakdown of what can be accessed from various networks.

Updates to OvidSP Coming March 31st

OvidSP

Several new features and functionality will be added to OvidSP on March 31, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time. These features include:

  • MARC records for all your books and journals
  • Spanish, German, and French interfaces
  • Exporting of search results annotations to your citation manager
  • Improved functionality of RSS AutoAlerts
  • Additional enhancements to the Results Manager and Search screen

Please note that if you are in an OvidSP session at that time, your session will continue uninterrupted until you log out or your session times out.
