Join us for an interactive workshop geared towards people preparing to design longitudinal projects and surveys in REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture). The workshop will provide hands-on activities where attendees will learn to 1) create events, set days offset, and use the Scheduling and Calendar tools for longitudinal projects, 2) enable an instrument as a survey and distribute surveys to research participants, and 3) import curated data collection instruments from the REDCap Shared Library.
Longitudinal Projects allow REDCap users to create events at specific time points throughout a project and designate data collection instruments to be used during the event. REDCap Surveys allow users to distribute data collection instruments to research participants via email or a public survey link. The REDCap Shared Library allows users to directly import curated data collection instruments to a project.
Who should attend?
People who have experience creating instruments in REDCap and are interested in setting up longitudinal projects and surveys.
People who have worked on longitudinal projects and surveys in REDCap but did not create the project.
People who are not yet comfortable putting longitudinal projects or surveys into production.
People who learn better in a classroom setting than individually using online REDCap videos and FAQ pages.
If you are new to REDCap, it is recommended that you attend an Introduction to REDCap Workshop prior to attending the Longitudinal Projects and Surveys Workshop.
If the class is full, register to be on the waiting list and we will add more workshops based on demand.
Also, look for more intermediate and advanced level REDCap workshops this fall!
Note: Desktop computers are available for attendees to use but you are welcome to bring a laptop if you prefer.
