Bulk RNA-Seq Data Analysis in Partek Flow

Registration is closed for this event
This workshop is hands-on. Attendees will learn how to use the point-and-click interface in Partek Flow to analyze bulk RNA-Seq data from raw data to experimental results.

This workshop focuses on bulk RNA-seq data analysis using Partek software.

Location: Farrell Learning and Teaching Center - FLTC Room 404

Date: Wednesday, May 22, 2019

Time: 9:30 - 12

Agenda: Import data from .fastq files, perform QA/QC (Pre-alignment QA/QC, Post-alignment QA/QC), trim bases, align reads to reference genome, quantify gene/transcript abundance, normalize gene counts, detect differentially expressed genes, filter a gene list, identify enriched KEGG pathway and/or GO terms. Data visualization will include heat maps, volcano plots, PCA scatterplot, pot plots, hierarchical clustering, chromosome view and more.
