Join Ishwar Chandramouliswaran, Lead Program Director at the NIH's Office of Data Science Strategy, for a comprehensive webinar on the FAIR Data and Resources Unit's strategy and initiatives. This unit is dedicated to modernizing the biomedical data resource ecosystem through leadership, strategic planning, and NIH-wide coordination. Key activities include:
- Advancing NIH initiatives for the storage, management, and integration of diverse data by support data repositories and knowledgebases.
- Advocating for and coordinating the adoption of FAIR data principles and practices (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable).
- Enhancing the reusability and sustainability of research software and encouraging open software development practices.
- Building partnerships with communities, societies, and international entities to enhance education and implementation of FAIR practices.
Gain insights into the NIH’s initiatives, explore collaboration opportunities, and learn how to promote/adopt FAIR data practices in biomedical research. Ishwar Chandramouliswaran is a lead program director in the Office of Data Science Strategy (ODSS) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
He provides leadership, strategic guidance, and coordination of trans-NIH FAIR data science programs driven by researcher needs and emerging technologies. They include adoption of FAIR data principles, initiatives to establish a modernized biomedical data and repository ecosystem, as well as establish community partnerships to enhance education, adoption, and implementation of FAIR practices.
