About Access Restrictions to Electronic Resources

Access and use of electronic resources made available by the Becker Medical Library are governed by license agreements between the School of Medicine and publishers or third parties. Several of the electronic resources carry some restriction on their use. Access may be restricted by user location, number of concurrent users, and/or password.

In short, most people experience access limitations based on the network to which their computer is connected. Below is a quick breakdown of what can be accessed from various networks.

Parallel Computing with MATLAB

This workshop focuses on using MATLAB on the CHPC cluster. The following topics will be covered: 

  • Getting started with parallel computations in MATLAB
  • How well does your code scale?
  • What’s taking so long? Profiling in parallel.

 

This workshop is hands-on, so attendees need to: 

  • Bring a laptop that has MATLAB installed, any version between R2014a and R2016b. The installation also needs to include the Parallel Computing Toolbox. Check your installed version and toolboxes with the command ver 
  • Have an account on the CHPC cluster (if you don't have a CHPC account, you can request one using this online form)
