About Access Restrictions to Electronic Resources

Access and use of electronic resources made available by the Becker Medical Library are governed by license agreements between the School of Medicine and publishers or third parties. Several of the electronic resources carry some restriction on their use. Access may be restricted by user location, number of concurrent users, and/or password.

In short, most people experience access limitations based on the network to which their computer is connected. Below is a quick breakdown of what can be accessed from various networks.

Dr. Stephen Lefrak is Professor of Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine, and a nationally recognized clinician/teacher in pulmonology and critical care medicine.

For the past 21 years he has served as Assistant Dean directing the Program on Humanities in Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine.  He was a founding member of, and served as chairman of the Barnes Jewish Hospital Ethics Committee for more than 15 years.

Dr. Lefrak holds an AB with honors in philosophy from Colgate University, and is an AOA graduate of the medical school at the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center.
