Glaser Gallery open house: Last chance to see ‘How Did We Get Hear? Historic Hearing Devices, 1800-2000’

Last chance to see our current exhibit on display! Join us for coffee and cookies at noon, and stay for the guided tour 12:30-1 p.m.

Last chance to see our current exhibit on display, "How Did We Get Hear? Historic Hearing Devices, 1800-2000."

The hearing aids we are familiar with today are both tiny and mighty, but they weren’t always that way. Contemporary hearing aids are the product of hundreds of years of scientific and technological development.

This exhibit highlights the long history of hearing devices, from conversation tubes to transistors, featuring devices from The Central Institute for the Deaf — Max A. Goldstein Historic Devices for Hearing Collection.

Join us for coffee and cookies at noon, then stroll through the Glaser Gallery on a guided tour — led by our Archives staff — from 12:30–1 p.m.

The library is open to the public, 7:30 a.m.–5 p.m.
