3rd Annual Edible Book Festival at Becker Library

Edible books are silly or serious creations made of food and inspired by books, titles, characters or authors. On Monday, April 1, bring your entry to the library by 10 a.m. or just join us to vote (10-2:30) and eat (2:30)!

What’s an edible book, you ask? Edible books are silly or serious creations made of food and inspired by books, titles, characters or authors. Check out photos of previous entries, and here’s some more inspiration from other Edible Book Festivals around the world.

The 2019 Edible Book Festival will be held on Monday, April 1.

You can source books, titles, characters or authors from any genre you like. Since we are a medical library, we will have an award category for “Most Edible Medical Book.”

Schedule for Monday, April 1:

  • Drop off entries in the library atrium by 10:00 a.m.
  • Vote from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
  • Awards and eating* at 2:30 p.m.

*Note we will be eating these, so they must be edible (or mostly edible, as long as what’s not is obvious) without refrigeration.

Prizes will be awarded for:

  • Most Likely to be Eaten
  • Most Creative “Book”
  • Most Edible Medical “Book”

Looking forward to seeing all the creative entries!
