About Access Restrictions to Electronic Resources

Access and use of electronic resources made available by the Becker Medical Library are governed by license agreements between the School of Medicine and publishers or third parties. Several of the electronic resources carry some restriction on their use. Access may be restricted by user location, number of concurrent users, and/or password.

In short, most people experience access limitations based on the network to which their computer is connected. Below is a quick breakdown of what can be accessed from various networks.

ClinicalKey

ClinicalKey from Elsevier is a clinical search engine that supports clinical decisions by making it easier to find and apply relevant knowledge.  It delivers fast, concise answers when every second counts, and deep access to evidence whenever, wherever you need it.  ClinicalKey provides books, guidelines, patient education handouts, and active e-Clinics titles (51 titles from 2007 – to the present).  Register for a free user account on ClinicalKey in order to access additional features and download e-book chapter PDF files.  Use your Washington University email to enable remote access or to use the Mobile App.  Remote Access is not compatible with a Yahoo, Gmail, or other personal email account. A mobile App is available.
