Collaborative Endeavors

Becker Library and the Center for the History of Medicine are eager to forge local and regional partnerships in order to highlight its world class special collections and make them widely available in support of research and teaching. Past collaborative events include the Vesalius and the Invention of the Modern Body Symposium held in 2015 and the Curren(t)cy of Frankenstein symposium held in 2018; Becker Library’s Archives and Rare Books division also collaborates on university-wide library programming such as the Washington University Libraries Book Club and cross-campus exhibits.

Moving forward, the Center anticipates collaborating with local and regional institutions on interdisciplinary events that include the history of medicine in some capacity. If you are interested in partnering with us, please reach out: CfHOM@wustl.edu
