Data Management and Sharing

Becker Library has partnered with the Institute for Informatics to provide data management and sharing educational offerings and support services to the Washington University Medical Center community.

Check out the information below and reach out to Chris Sorensen (sorensenc@wustl.edu) or Marcy Vana (vanam@wustl.edu) with any questions.

Data Management

Funding agencies are increasingly requiring data management plans as part of grant submissions. The Data Management Plan Tool (DMPTool) is a free, online tool to help you easily build a data management plan that meets your funder’s requirements. Sign in through Washington University’s DMPTool affiliation using your WUSTL Key. We can assist you if you have any questions about data management plans or the DMPTool.

REDCap Workshops

Becker Library is pleased to begin offering introductory, hands-on REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture) workshops. REDCap is a secure, web-based application for building and managing online databases and surveys. Developed at Vanderbilt University and made freely available to other institutions, our WUSTL instance of REDCap is managed by the Institute for Informatics. Come and learn what REDCap is and how to use it to collect and manage your research data.
