One of the Center’s key goals is to encourage interest in medical history through educational initiatives.
Medical Student Elective
The Center offers an elective for Phase 3 medical students with an interest in exploring medical history. In addition to sessions spent looking at items from the rare book collections and engaging in discussion, the course also incorporates a week-long trip abroad to visit medical collections and historic sites related to the course’s theme. We always enjoy hosting curious visitors in the reading room. If you are interested in bringing a class or tour group to see the rare book collections, feel free to send us a message and we’d be happy to discuss it.
Funding is available for scholars and graduate students pursuing project that relate to medical history.
