Expanded New York Times Access Now Available

In conjunction with the University Libraries on the Danforth campus, Becker Medical Library is excited to announce that a campus-wide New York Times subscription is now available to all faculty, staff and students. Your subscription provides access to nytimes.com and the NYTimes mobile app at the Basic Digital Access level.

Follow these instructions to create and activate your free New York Times account. 

On-Campus at the School of Medicine directions

  1. Visit the following link: nytimesineducation.com/access-nyt
  2. Search for and click the listing for “Washington University School of Medicine – Saint Louis, MO,” if required.
  3. Choose the “On campus click here” option.
  4. Click Create Account and complete registration fields. Use your wustl.edu email address.

Note: If you have trouble creating your account, check that you are on a WUSM wi-fi network.

Off-Campus via the Becker Library remote access proxy server directions

Do not use VPN. Account creation will not work on a VPN connection.

  1. Visit the following link: beckerproxy.wustl.edu/login?url=https://ezmyaccount.nytimes.com/grouppass/redir 
  2. Login to the Libraries’ proxy server with your WUSTL key credentials.
  3. Search for and click the listing for “Washington University School of Medicine  – Saint Louis, MO,” if required.
  4. Click Create Account and complete registration fields. Use your wustl.edu email address.

Note: If you have had an NYT account through WashU in the past, you may not be asked to select a school.
