Microbiology Society to waive article processing charges for open access publications

Becker Medical Library and Washington University Libraries are pleased to announce a new Publish and Read agreement for journals published by the Microbiology Society. The agreement allows Washington University corresponding authors a full waiver of Article Processing Charges (APCs) to publish their works under a Creative Commons (CC-BY) Open Access license as of January 1, 2022. The agreement places no limits on the number of works published by the university or authors. The agreement also allows full access to all the journals published by the Microbiology Society dating from 1947 for reading and text/data mining.

The Microbiology Society is a membership charity based in Europe for scientists interested in microbes, their effects and their practical uses. The six journals published by the Microbiology Society are:
