We are pleased to announce that Cantron (Tré) Quarles has joined Becker Library as a Librarian in Health Information Services. Tré will be a key contributor to Becker’s systematic and scoping review service, in addition to providing valuable reference assistance and library instruction.
Prior to coming to WashU, Tré worked at Harvard Medical School’s Countway Library where he supported systematic and scoping reviews, library outreach initiatives, and reference services. He also designed and taught workshops on medical databases and emerging technologies, including AI research tools.
Tré earned his Master of Library and Information Science from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis in 2023, and his BA in Africana Studies from Oberlin College in 2018. His professional experience spans academic, public, and health sciences libraries, including roles at Indiana University’s Ruth Lilly Medical Library and Columbia University Libraries.

A member of the American Library Association and the Medical Library Association, Tré is passionate about equitable information access, community engagement and library outreach, and the thoughtful integration of emerging technologies in library services.
