Welcome New Clinical Librarians

Becker Library recently added two clinical librarians to the Health and Information Services Division.

  Michelle Doering was promoted to the position of Clinical Librarian after working as a Library Assistant in the Information Services department
at Becker Medical Library.  She completed a practicum at St. Louis Children's Hospital library and earned her Master's Degree in Library Science from University of Missouri-Columbia.  Before coming to Becker Library, Michelle worked in the marketing communication industry for nine years as an art director and graphic designer.  Michelle will be working with the Health and Information Services Team and will be available to perform database searches, provide training on library resources and colloborate with systematic review teams.  Her graphic design background will make her instrumental in expanding the library's educational technology projects.

 


  Laura Simon joins the staff as Clinical Librarian for Barnes Jewish Hospital.  She recently completed a practicum at St. Louis Children's Hospital library while obtaining a MLS Degree from University of Missouri-Columbia after earning a BA in Journalism/Strategic Communication.  Laura will be working closely with the medical and nursing staff at Barnes Jewish Hospital to expand librarian participation in teaching rounds, research support and training.
