About Access Restrictions to Electronic Resources

Access and use of electronic resources made available by the Becker Medical Library are governed by license agreements between the School of Medicine and publishers or third parties. Several of the electronic resources carry some restriction on their use. Access may be restricted by user location, number of concurrent users, and/or password.

In short, most people experience access limitations based on the network to which their computer is connected. Below is a quick breakdown of what can be accessed from various networks.

Archives and Rare Books

The Archives and Rare Books section of the Bernard Becker Medical Library houses one of the nation’s finest collections of historical materials and serves as a continuing resource to visiting scholars and the general public.

Archives and Rare Books items are regularly exhibited in the Glaser Gallery.

Travel Scholarship

Applications are being accepted now through April 15 for the Spring Semester Travel Grant (up to $1,000), which helps defray the costs of traveling to utilize Becker's extensive archival and rare book collections. Learn more here.
