Discounted Article Processing Charges (APCs) for Future Science Journal Titles

Becker Medical Library is pleased to announce a new “Read & Publish” agreement with Future Science Group, a publisher of scientific journals. This agreement allows for a full waiver of Article Processing Charges (APCs) for works published by Washington University corresponding authors, starting January 1, 2024 and ending December 31, 2025.

All modules of Ditki are now available

Ditki (formerly Draw it to Know it) provides an efficient learning platform for faculty, students, and clinicians. Through a rigorous process, Ditki Medical & Biological Sciences presents anatomy and science in an instructive format that flows logically, so comprehension comes naturally, and memorization comes easily. Interactive exercises, drills, quizzes, and downloadable flashcards are available.

Modules include all human body systems along with subject modules on biochemistry, neuroscience, genetics, and histology among others.  Board preparation tutorials for USMLE/COMLEX QBanks are also available. The Board Prep materials provide questions and rapid-review tutorials, designed to save you time as you review.

Travel Scholarships Available for Archives and Rare Books Collections Use

To encourage researchers living more than 100 miles from St. Louis to use these collections, Becker Library offers two grants annually of up to $1,000 each to help defray the costs of travel, lodging, food and photo reproductions. Covered expenses will be reimbursed at the conclusion of the visit. Apply by March 1, 2023.

From Feb. 6-10,  libraries, archives and other cultural institutions around the world are sharing free coloring sheets and books based on materials from their collections. On the first floor of Becker Library, you’ll find snacks, coloring books and materials, so let your inner child take over!
