On July 1, 2020, Bernard Becker Medical Library and Washington University Libraries will integrate our respective catalogs, making both collections searchable from one platform for the first time. Users will notice a new look and feel starting when the Becker Library catalog changes platforms on July 1, but should not expect any changes beyond scope and cosmetics.
By default, searching from the Becker Library website will bring up resources available at Becker Library only. Patrons will then be able to widen their search to include all university resources by simply changing a dropdown menu selection (instead of going to search on University Libraries’ website as is currently required).
Becker Library item and patron records are already live in the University Libraries catalog ahead of the complete integration on July 1.
Becker Library’s most recent strategic plan included catalog integration as a goal in order to remove an unnecessary barrier to searching for university resources.
Please contact us at askbecker@wustl.edu if you have any questions about the new platform.
