Link to full text from PubMed for Becker-subscribed titles

PubMed is updating how its full-text links work. Previously, the library’s “Full Text @ Becker” icon displayed in the top right corner of the abstract only when the full text of the article was available via the library’s subscriptions (provided you had accessed PubMed via the Becker website).

Going forward, a “Get it @ Becker” icon will always display in the top right corner of the abstract. Selecting the icon will either display the full text of the article or an informational screen indicating that the library does not have access to the full text of the article and prompting you to request it through Interlibrary Loan.

To access full text from PubMed you should continue to start from the Becker website in either of the following ways:

  1. Select the PubMed link from the library home page:
  2. Search PubMed from the Becker website search bar by selecting PubMed from the dropdown menu prior to entering your search term(s):

When you find an article that you need, select the WUSTL Get it@Becker icon:

When the library has access to the article, the article will display.

When the library does not have access to the article, an informational screen will display and you will be able to request the article through Interlibrary Loan.
