Becker library makes new journal subscription purchases based on:
- Purchase suggestions
- Suitability of the topic in meeting the teaching, patient care, and research needs of the faculty, staff and students
- Budget
- Review by the Collection Committee based on a rubric of data points, including the number of purchase suggestions, number of interlibrary loan requests, access denial data from the publishers, the journal impact factor and indexing of the journal in bibliographic databases.
