Research Profiles: Find Collaborators on Campus and Publicize Your Expertise

This session will cover how Research Profiles can be used to discover and promote experts on campus. Attendees will learn how to use Research Profiles to find a mentor, and learn about current research activities on campus. Faculty will learn how to use Research Profiles as a promotional tool, establishing themselves as experts and leaders in their areas of work.

Research Profiles is a publicly accessible and searchable tool for exploring the expertise, research interests, and publications of faculty and groups at Washington University in St. Louis.

This session will cover the types of content found in Research Profiles like people, departments and Scholarly Activity. This session will review how popular features like Fingerprint Visualizations, Network Maps, and Network Visualizations can be used to find collaborators, view collaboration details for a researcher, find a mentor, match a funding opportunity to relevant researchers, and find a researcher’s publication history.
