The Computing Basics workshops are designed for researchers without any prior experience with using the Unix command line interface, and for those who are new to high performance computing. During each workshop session, important background concepts related to computing are introduced in a simple presentation format, accompanied by demonstration exercises. While these workshops are focused on using WUIT’s Research Infrastructure Services (RIS) Scientific Compute Platform, the knowledge gained could be applied to other computing environments.
