The NIH will require researchers to submit a Data Management and Sharing (DMS) plan with all grant submissions beginning Jan. 25, 2023. This virtual workshop will cover what to include in an NIH DMS plan, resources at Washington University to help write and implement a DMS plan, and key information about the NIH DMS policy behind the plan including steps involved with compliance. The session will consist of lecture, live demonstrations and activities and time for Q&A.
By the end of the session attendees will have an understanding of:
- The key information in the NIH DMS policy including steps involved with compliance
- What to include in each section of the NIH DMS plan
- Basic data management practices
- Sharing scientific data in a public repository
