    FAQ’s
Q: How do I reserve a room in the library?

A: The library does not manage the study space in the building. Please refer to meet.wustl.edu for information about reserving a room.

Q: The library doesn’t have access to the article I want. Can I still access it?

A: Items not currently owned by the library may be requested via Interlibrary Loan. You might also consider suggesting a purchase to help improve our collection.

Q: I am a BJC employee; can I get access to Becker’s resources?

A: Becker Library’s resources are available only to WashU Medicine staff, faculty, and students. BJC staff can contact the Goldfarb School of Nursing library for assistance.

Q: I am having issues with the software I purchased (e.g., EndNote, Graphpad Prism, etc.); can you help?

A: The library will assist with software purchased through the library proper (e.g., Graphpad Prism); however, most of the software troubleshooting and distribution is controlled by WUIT. The library does not offer access to Epic.

Q: I cannot access UpToDate; can you help?

A: Please use askbecker@wustl.edu for assistance with UpToDate. If your status with the university has recently changed, please include that information in your email.

Q: Does the library offer notary services?

A: Becker Library notary services are available to WashU Medicine staff, faculty and students. Please email Barb Mathieu at mathieub@wustl.edu to schedule an appointment.

Q: What kinds of tech items are available for checkout?

A: Laptop/phone chargers, adapters, and other tech items are available during staffed hours for 24-hour checkout. Patrons interested in loaner laptops should contact the WUSM Link Tech Bar.

Q: Does the library accept book donations?

A: If you are interested in donating your used books to the Becker Library, please contact our Acquisitions Librarian, Denise Hannibal, at hannibald@wustl.edu.

Q: My off-campus access isn’t working! What can I do?

A: Please review our [proxy page] for more information about troubleshooting proxy access. Note that only current WashU Medicine staff, faculty and students are given proxy access. Patrons with primary affiliation on the Danforth campus should refer to Olin Library for assistance.
