About Access Restrictions to Electronic Resources

Access and use of electronic resources made available by the Becker Medical Library are governed by license agreements between the School of Medicine and publishers or third parties. Several of the electronic resources carry some restriction on their use. Access may be restricted by user location, number of concurrent users, and/or password.

In short, most people experience access limitations based on the network to which their computer is connected. Below is a quick breakdown of what can be accessed from various networks.

Selecting a Journal for Publication Class

Are you considering submitting a manuscript for publication but on the fence as to which journal to submit to?

Which journal will reach your target audience? Did you know that authors have a responsibility to evaluate the integrity, history, practices and reputations of journals being considered for publication? See: Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing, and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals, revised December 2016.

These points along with others will be reviewed to help you select and evaluate a journal for publication.
