A new notice from the NIH (Reporting Preprints and Other Interim Research Products, NOT-OD-17-050) indicates that interim research products, including preprints, can soon be cited where other research products are cited. In the past year, Altmetric has tracked over 17 million mentions of 2.7 million different research outputs and selected the top 100 most-discussed journal articles of 2016. Altmetric tracks mentions of works on social media, mainstream media, blogs, and other platforms. Four of the 100 articles were authored by authors from Washington University.
Clarivate Analytics (formerly Thomson Reuters) recently released Highly Cited Researchers 2016, a list recognizing leading researchers in the Sciences and Social Sciences from around the world.
Becker Medical Library is offering trial access to InCites, a research analytics platform produced by Clarivate Analytics (formerly Thomson Reuters).
