About Access Restrictions to Electronic Resources

Access and use of electronic resources made available by the Becker Medical Library are governed by license agreements between the School of Medicine and publishers or third parties. Several of the electronic resources carry some restriction on their use. Access may be restricted by user location, number of concurrent users, and/or password.

In short, most people experience access limitations based on the network to which their computer is connected. Below is a quick breakdown of what can be accessed from various networks.

Spotfire demo at WUSM on December 2nd

Researchers on campus have asked us to investigate whether there is enough interest to support a group or site license for TIBCO Spotfire. As part of that investigation, we've invited a scientist from Perkin Elmer to come and give a demo of TIBCO Spotfire and OmicsOffice.

MetaCore training workshops at WUSM on October 2nd

A Field Application Scientist from Partek will be at WUSM leading two Partek Genomics Suite training workshops in February, one on microarray analysis of gene expression and one on analyzing copy number array data.
