About Access Restrictions to Electronic Resources

Access and use of electronic resources made available by the Becker Medical Library are governed by license agreements between the School of Medicine and publishers or third parties. Several of the electronic resources carry some restriction on their use. Access may be restricted by user location, number of concurrent users, and/or password.

In short, most people experience access limitations based on the network to which their computer is connected. Below is a quick breakdown of what can be accessed from various networks.

The Future of Genomic Medicine - April 26

The 2016-2017 Genomics in Medicine seminar series will conclude with a panel discussion on April 26th at 4PM in Holden Auditorium.

Partek Genomics Suite Methylation Array Workshop - April 18th

A scientist from Partek will be on campus to lead a methylation array data analysis workshop on April 18th. The workshop will run from 9:30-11:30 in Farrell Learning and Teaching Center, Room 404. This workshop will be hands-on, so please bring a laptop. Partek Genomics Suite trial licenses will be provided if needed.

ChemOffice Professional Software Freely Available Campus-wide

Olin Library has renewed the ChemOffice Professional site license and continues to make it freely available to all in the Washington University community.

Genomics in Medicine - Spring 2017 seminars start tomorrow

WashU Epigenome Day - Monday November 21, 2016

Washington University School of Medicine will host the first WashU Epigenome Day on November 21, 2016 from 10am to 5:30pm. This event is free and open to the public and includes: 

IPA training workshop - October 19, 2016

A scientist from QIAGEN will be on campus to lead an Ingenuity Pathway Analysis (IPA) training workshop on Wednesday, October 19th.   The workshop will run from 12:30-3:30 in Holden Auditorium and will be hands-on, so please bring your laptop.

Hands-on training for RNA-seq data analysis in Partek Flow - September 29, 2016

Becker Library will host a workshop for RNA-Seq data analysis in Partek Flow on September 29, 2016, in Farrell Learning and Teaching Center - Holden Auditorium. This workshop is free and open to all at WUSTL.
